About Us

The Citizens Advice Scotland Kinship Care Advice Service for Scotland is a charity funded by the Scottish Government to provide advice and support to Kinship Carers. The service also provides training, advice and support to agencies who provide support to  Kinship Carers with the aim of improving their lives and the children they look after. See “Get Advice” about how we achieve this.

The Kinship Care Advice Service for Scotland is well placed to deliver this service to Kinship Carers as it has been involved in supporting Kinship Carers for over 10 years. During this period we have gained knowledge and experience in supporting Kinship Carers in an often complex environment keeping up to date with changes to legislation and the entitlements of Kinship Care families. The service continues to work closely with those who make changes which can affect Kinship Carers to ensure they remain a priority and the changes delivered have a positive impact on Kinship Care families.
